AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi Surrenders for GHMC Poll Violence

Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday surrendered before the DCP (South Zone) V Satyanarayana with regard to cases being filed against him for assaulting State Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and senior leader Shabbir Ali on February 2 during the GHMC polls.

The AIMIM leader was first taken to the Osmania General Hospital for medical examination. He is expected to be produced in the Nampally court on Monday itself.

Meanwhile, the city police have beefed up security in the old city area and also at the Nampally court complex following the surrender.
