MLC Elections: 7 In AP, 3 In Telangana Elected Unopposed

The MLA quota MLC constituency elections threw up no surprises in Telugu states. The election to all the seven seats in Andhra Pradesh and three in Telangana were unanimous. With the wife of YSRCP leader Gangula Prabhakar Reddy's wife withdrawing from the fray, all the seven candidates - two from YSRCP and five from the ruling TDP, were declared elected.

Alla Nani and Gangula Prabhakar Reddy are from the YSRCP, while CM Chandrababu's son Nara Lokesh, former minister Karanam Balaram, Potula Sunitha, Battula Arjunudu and former minister Docca Manikya Varaprasad were elected.

In Telangana, all the three seats were bagged by the ruling TRS. Mainampalli Hanumath Rao, Eliminati Krishna Reddy and Gangadhar Goud were declared elected unopposed.
