Minister writes to CM to resolve power crisis
In yet another letter shot off to the Chief Minister, Minister for Endowments C Ramachandraiah today wanted the State Government to initiate immediate measures to save the jobs of lakhs of employees by resolving the ongoing deep power crisis in the State.
“Resolve the power crisis and save the jobs of lakhs of employees working in various private organizations. These units are facing closure threat due to the deep power problem throwing their employees onto the roads. The unwanted power holiday has also pushed several small-scale units, already living on wafer-thin profit margins, into the red Hence, take urgent steps to resolve this issue,” he wrote to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today.
In the letter, the minister appealed to the Chief Minister to bring the power shortage issue before the Cabinet for a detailed discussion. The situation has worsened in the Telangana and Rayalaseema regions, he said.
This is the second letter Ramachandraiah is writing to the Chief Minister on the problems confronting the State. As recently as a fortnight ago, the minister wrote to Kiran Kumar asking the latter to “bail out” the common man from the LPG cylinder cap imposed by the Centre. He also wanted the State Government to bear the of the increased prices of diesel.
