Kurnool: The state TDP leadership is unhappy with the functioning of Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya. In this regard, Union Minister Sujana Choudhary and AP Minister for Information and Public Relations Kaluva Srinivasulu have called Akhila Priya on phone and asked her to change the way of her functioning.

It is learnt that the senior leaders had asked her not to function in her own way as the Cabinet Ministers and TDP leaders along with the Chief Minister of the state are bound to work in tandem.

The TDP leaders are worried that the majority of the ZPTCs, MPTCs and Sarpaches in Nandyal constituency had shifted to the YSRC party recently. Ahead of the byelection to the Nandyal Assembly segment, the exodus of the TDP leaders into the YSRCP has caused a great worry to the ruling party.

The leaders were dissatisfied over the way Akhila Priya has been raising the issue of Nandyal bypoll before media persons. The TDP camp is nervous after Kurnool leader and former minister Silpa Mohan Reddy left the ruling party to join YSRCP.

Besides the Nandyal political issue, TDP chief and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over Akhila Priya's personal assistant after allegations surfaced that money was swindled from the Neeru-Chettu welfare scheme.

Over shifting of employees, it is learnt that Minister Akhila Priya reportedly sent recommendations and letters. This issue has reached Chandrababu Naidu. Later, the Chief Minister also sought to know as to why she has been maintaining distance from TDP leader AV Subba Reddy, who is a good friend of Bhuma family. So, Akhila was advised to maintain a friendly relationship and coordinate with the party leaders, sources in the party said.
