Police conducting raids on Silpa Mohan Reddy supporters’ houses
Raising the political temperature further in poll-bound Nandyal, the police conducted raids on the houses of YSRCP candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy's relatives and several other YSRCP leaders.
Among those whose residences were raided were Silpa Mohan Reddy's relatives Jagadeeswar Reddy and Adireddy, his supporters Vysya leader Neraveti Satyanarayana, and Linga Reddy. The YSRCP slammed the police excesses and said this betrayed the desperation of the ruling TDP, which is staring at a definite defeat. The party said the TDP was using police to intimidate the YSRCP activists and leaders.
YSRCP said the YSRCP was being targeted while the TDP leaders are being let off. The TDP is lavishing huge amounts to lure the voters, but the police are turning a Nelson's Eye.
