Medak man held in murder case after 20 yrs in Bhopal
The Pune police arrested a 60-year-old man after 20 years in connection with a murder case. Dutt Guru alias Kanakaraju, hailing from Medak district in Andhra Pradesh was arrested from a temple in Bhopal on Saturday for killing his wife and daughter two decades ago in Nagpur, police said today.
The accused, who was on the run since 1993, had killed his wife and daughter to allegedly obtain 'Yoga Siddhi'. Police has recovered a total of 37 SIM cards from his possession. All this while, he had stayed at several temples in different cities of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Kanakraju is now being interrogated by Pune police which will hand him over to Nagpur police for further investigations.
