Massive Show Of Strength By TRS, CM Moots Farmers Confederations To Fix Prices
In a major show of strength, the ruling TRS organised a mega public meeting in Warangal on Thursday evening. The TRS cadres were mobilised in large numbers from all across Telangana.
Star speaker TRS supremo and chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao reeled out the ambitious future initiatives of the Government. He tried to woo the BCs, farmers and the rural population with a slew of initiatives. He said the government will form farmers confederations at the village, mandal, district and state level to fix the price of the farm produce. He said the government will also ensure that Mission Kakatiya will repair the tanks and ensure irrigation facility to every farm. He said the Government will provide Rs 4000 per acre to every farmer.
He had a project for every community - 84 lakh sheep for the sheep-rearers, Rs 25000 modern saloons in the villages, 27 crore fish seedfor the fisher-folk. He said Mission Bhageeratha will ensure that every home will get safe drinking water.
Seeking to invoke the Telangana sentiment, he targeted the Congress. He came down heavily against the Congress and said that it was trying to block the development through court cases. He said the Congressmen were silent when rulers from Andhra Pradesh were insulting the Telangana people.
Interestingly, KCR did not make any mention about the 12 per cent reservations to the Muslims in his speech. Over 600 TRS top brass - ministers, MLAs, MPs and office bearers - sat on the huge stage specially erected for the occasion.
