Maoists shoot down youth in Khammam

A 28-year-old man was reportedly kidnapped and shot dead by Maoists branding him as a police informer, in Khammam district.

 M Balakrishna, a farm labourer, was kidnapped on Sunday from his village Tippapuram and his body was found lying on a roadside in Ankannagudem of Venkatapuram mandal of Khammam on Tuesday night.

Venkatapuram Circle Inspector Narendra told. He was shot in the head from close range. A case was registered in this regard while further probe is on, he added.
