Maoists release kidnapped TRS leaders
The Six TRS leaders, who were held hostages by the Maoists for three days, have finally been released. They were let off on Chhattisgarh border border area.
The six mandal level leaders were kidnapped from the remote Pusuguppa village in Charla mandal late on November 18 evening. The incident occurred a few km away from the sensitive and porous Khammam-Chhattisgarh border. It created ripples among the ruling party cadres in the far flung tribal pockets of Bhadrachalam Agency area.
The kidnap, which came about at a time when electioneering is in full swing in Warangal, assumed significance.
The kidnapped leaders were TRS Bhadrachalam constituency in-charge M. Ramakrishna , Venkateswarlu, Suresh, Janrdhan, Ramakrishna and Satyanarayana from Charla, Venkatapuram and Vajedu.
