Central Employees lag behind over pay than State Staff - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The notion that the central government job pays well off than state government proves wrong with the fact that Telangana and Andhra Staff are paid more than Central employees.

The Seventh Pay Commission on Thursday revised the pay scale for Central employees with a hike of 23.55 percent after 10 years. The announcement didn't rejoice the staff because their AP and TS staff counterpart are drawing more. In the last 10 years the state government employees got 82 percent hike, whereas the central employees have not even got 50 percent.

This disparity of pay scale has bridged the resulting the Central employees working in the two states, Andhra and Telangana to go for stirke. And incidentally, state employees are supporting the agitation and have extended their support to the Central staff.

P. Nageshwar Rao, General Secretary, Confederation of Central Government Employees says that AP and TS staff working in Group III and group IV draws minimum of Rs 20,000 month wherein Central employees draw Rs 18,000 per month.

G. Deviprasad, TS Employees JAC leader have expressed his ire over NDA government's reluctant attitude limiting the hike only to 25 percent after 10 years, wheras the state government has hiked to 43 percent after 5 years. He further urged NDA government to reject the Pay Commission recommendations and look into it the matter of revising the hike again keeping in view of soaring price rise.
