Maoist Attack Leaves 12 CRPF Jawans Dead
Hitting back after a slew of reverses, the Maoists have attacked a CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Monday and killed 12 jawans. Seven more jawans, who were critically injured in the daring attack, were airlifted for treatment.
The incident occurred in the Chintalnar area between Chinta Gufa area.
Reports said that over 400 Maoists, including several militia members, attacked the CRPF camp. The Maoists also decamped with a cache of arms in the raid.
A shocked Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh conveneed an emergency meeting with senior ministers and police top brass to review the situation.
