Man Fires Gunshots On Chinese Consulate in US Before Killing Self

Los Angeles: A man of Asian origin before shooting himself dead in his car fired 17 gunshots outside the Consulate General of China in Los Angeles. The shooting took place about 6 am on Tuesday but did not injure anyone else.

The man in his 60s was found dead in his vehicle parked 20 meters away from the consulate building. The identity of the man is yet to be found. Consulate officials said the man was not Chinese. A security guard at the consulate said the gunman shot 17 bullets at the building before killing himself in his car. The consulate general has expressed serious concerns about the shooting incident and urged the US authorities to take all necessary measures to protect the safety of its diplomats.
