Man dies on hearing daughter's death

Faulty medical treatment of a compounder during the delivery of a pregnant lady led to loss of two lives. The faulty treatment resulted in her death due to severe bleeding.

The pathetic incident occurred at Vinukonda in Guntur district.

V.Nagalakshmi (19), who belongs to Kochcharla village of Epuru mandal in Guntur district, joined a private hospital at Vinukonda on Thursday for delivery. Her relatives claim that a para-medical staff, who is not qualified to perform pregnancy deliveries, gave the treatment.

As Nagalakshmi suffered severe bleeding during delivery, she was rushed to Narasaraopet for better treatment. The doctors there advised that she be taken to Guntur. She died on way to Guntur.

Hearing about the death of his daughter, her father died of heart attack.

The relatives of Nagalakshmi lodged a complaint against the para-medic.
