Man axed to death by his elder brother in Bapatla

A man allegedly axed his younger brother to death over property dispute on Sunday.

Kota Ratna Reddy had an altercation with his younger brother Kota Srinivas Reddy over a property dispute between them at Betampudi village in Bapatla mandal of Guntur district. Ratna Reddy attacked his brother Srinivasa Reddy with an axe from backside when the latter sat on his scooter.

Srinivasa Reddy was rushed to hospital in 108 vehicle. But he died on the way to hospital. Another youth Muralidhar Reddy was also injured in the incident and he was shifted to Guntur. Police reached the spot and are investigating taking Ratna Reddy into custody.
