Majority of the dead were students....!!!

At least 12 of the 16 persons who died when an APSRTC bus in which they were travelling fell into 60-feet deep gorge in Anantapur district on Wednesday were Intermediate students.

As many as 13 persons were seriously injured and 30 others suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The students were going to their college to take half-yearly examinations.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospitals in Ananthapur and Madakasira where the condition of eight students stated to be critical. Some students were recommended to a hospital in Bangalore for better treatment.
Latest reports coming in say that the bus driver succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Hundreds of people from nearby villagers rushed to the spot to help the victims.
