Mahesh Babu replaces Ram Charan?

Striking off the grapevine in the Tollywood industry that Ram Charan would be acting in the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan (TO), sources now say that the role is likely to be bagged by super star, Mahesh Babu.

It is said that Mohan Raja, who is the director of Thani Oruvan , is keen on casting only Mahesh Babu and no one else as Mahesh has done complete justice to the role of a police officer in his past hits, Pokiri and Dookudu. The protagonist in Thani Oruvan is a cop.
A source stated, "Mahesh has seen the film on Sunday and he is quite impressed with the slick action thriller. Though Mahesh hasn't given his nod yet, it's likely that Mahesh would be part of the film. Director Mohan is keen on zeroing in on Mahesh but no one else from Telugu”.

It is said that many Telugu producers are lining up to acquire the rights of the movie and the Bollywood remake will mostly be done by Salman Khan.

Thani Oruvan which has already become a blockbuster hit casts Jayam Ravi, Nayantara and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles.
