Chennai: Are plans afoot to cast Mahesh Babu and Vijay in the same film?

According to insider reports, Sundar C’s upcoming mega-budgeted film is expected to have both the top stars playing the lead role. Here is the twist, the movie will be a trilingual movie and will be shot simultaneously. While the Tamil version will cast Vijay in the lead, the makers have apprently zeroed in on Mahesh Babu to star in the Telugu Version. The hunt is still on for a hero for the Hindi version.

The historical film is tentatively titled Brobdingnagian and is said to be the costliest Indian film ever made. Notably, Vijay’s has remade Mahesh Babu’s films in the past. But, if the project indeed takes off, this will be the first time both Vijay and Mahesh Babu will be coming together for a project.
It has been confirmed that AR Rahman, Sabu Cyril and VFX expert Kamalakannan are on board for this project, although there isn’t any confirmation regarding the cast.

This project is touted to be made on a humongous budget reportedly surpassing the budgets of Baahubali and Enthiran 2.0. Sri Thenandal Films, the reputed production house, is bankrolling the project which will mark their 100th production venture.
