Madhavi Latha Protests Against Sri Reddy, Taken Into Custody

Hyderabad: The Sri Reddy episode continues to make headlines for more reasons than one. The latest we hear is that of actress Madhavi Latha staging a silent protest in front of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce here today. She was taken into custody and shifted to Banjara Hills police station soon after. Madhavi Latha was protesting against Sri Reddy's indecent statements against actor Pawan Kalyan.

Madhavi Latha reached the Film Chamber complex wearing black ribbons and sat on a silent protest. She was joined by fans of Pawan Kalyan and few members from the Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) as well. Within few minutes of the actress staging the protest, the police came and shifted her to Banjara Hill police station. The actress continued her silent protest in the police station later.

It has already been reported how Sri Reddy has raised her voice against sexual exploitation in the film industry alleging casting couch. She also abused Pawan Kalyan and later apologised. Madhavi Latha was upset at Sri Reddy abusing her favourite star Pawan Kalyan. Expressing their solidarity with her, Pawan Kalyan fans also joined her and raised slogans against Sri Reddy.
