Madabhushi demands re-division of districts

Districts re-division Sadhana Samithi on Sunday demanded re-division of districts in view of administrative convenience.

The Samithi observed that the district headquarters should be easily approachable for people and creation of new districts would ensure improved administration. The backward regions could be given top priority and transparency in administration and improvement in accountability could be achieved with smaller districts, said Madabhushi Sridhar, noted advocate and professor of Nalsar Law University. People should fight for achieving smaller districts taking it as their right, he said.
