Mad rush at Stamps and Registration office

As the registration fee is said to be increasing from Monday, the Stamps and Registration offices in Hyderabad are working overtime today. 

With the registration fee going up from April 1, thousands of applications for registration of houses, plots and property transfers piled up at the office.

It is learnt that the government land value in Hyderabad will go up by 20 to 60 per cent.

That being the case, all the registration offices across the state witnessed a mad rush on Saturday. According to reports, crores of rupees have exchanged hands today. Meanwhile, people were seen ranting over government's decision to up the land value from April 1.
