Kurnool: Lovers end life over parents' opposition

Dejected over parents’ opposition to their affair, an incident of lovers committing suicide by consuming pesticides has come to light at Nandavaram in Kurnool on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Ravi (24) and Anasuya (22) belonging to different communities. The lovers were rushed to the hospital immediately. Doctors declared Ravi brought dead, while Anasuya's condition is said to be in a critical state.
It is alleged that the duo had consumed soft drink laced with poison.
Initially their love affair was not known to their family members or the villagers, but when they came to know about their friendship they opposed as they belonged to different communities. A case has been registered.
