Lovers Attempt Suicide After Parents Refuse Marriage Proposal

Hyderabad: Two teenagers attempted suicide by consuming poison at Ghatkesar on Saturday after their parents refused to accept their love marriage proposal.
Mounika(18), a resident of Anojiguda went to her boyfriend Santosh’s house at RTC colony and requested his parents to accept the marriage proposal. The parents rejected the marriage proposal of the duo.
Feeling depressed over the elders decision Mounika tried to end her life by consuming poison. On learning about her suicide attempt, Santosh also consumed a chemical substance to commit suicide. The duo was admitted into a hospital where the doctors declared their condition was normal.
Police registered a case and gave counselling for them
