Love hurts: spurned woman attacks man with knife in Hyderabad

Hell hath known no fury like a woman scorned. A young woman residing in Hyderabad has proved this old adage true by attacking her lover, a software engineer, on Friday, after coming to know that he had married another woman.

Ramya, who was arrested by the police was a former classmate of K Pratap, the software engineer. They studied a diploma course together. She had previously complained to the Chandanagar police accusing Pratap of marrying another woman after being in love with her, Police said. 
She went to Pratap's house on the morning of November 27 on the pretext of discussing the case with him. Once there, she suddenly attacked him with a knife, inflicting injuries on his private parts, an Investigating Officer said based on the complaint lodged by Pratap, who works in Hitec city. Following the complaint, Dundigal police booked a case against the woman under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of IPC and arrested her yesterday, the IO said. Pratap was treated at a hospital here and later discharged.
