Life sentence for Kurnool rape convicts

Hyderabad: A court in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh sentenced two men to imprisonment till the rest of their lives in a rape case on Wednesday.

The verdict comes after almost close to two years of court procedures. A young women in her 20's was raped by two auto drivers on outskirts of Kurnool on 17 July of 2013. Accused M Ravi and K Srinivas, both auto-drivers were found guilty and are sentenced to  life-time imprisionment along with a penalty of Rs Five lakh each. For Srinivas this is second conviction, Ravi and Srinivas also face two more similar cases. The duo criminals selectively offer auto-ride to women travelling alone and assualt them, according SP.
