Lecturer held for misbehaving with girl students in Hyderabad

Hyderabad:  A senior faculty of a private engineering college on Friday was  taken into custody for allegedly misbehaving with some girl students at Gandipet area here, police said.

As per reports, Janardhan Reddy misbehaved with the second-year engineering girl students of the college, who approached the principal over the matter, who in turn lodged a complaint with police, Narsingi Police Station Inspector Ramchander Rao said.
Following the complaint, Reddy was booked under relevant sections of the Nirbhaya Act and taken into custody, the police officer said. Preliminary investigation revealed that he misbehaved with the two girl students, the Inspector said adding that further probe is on.
