Lady Doctor Slips Into Coma After Being Operated For Sinus
Hyderabad: A lady doctor slipped into coma after she was operated upon to treat her sinus problem at Vivekananda Hospital in Begumpet. Being a doctor herself, Neha became a victim of other doctors' medical negligence after an overdose of anaesthesia caused serious damage to her brain, her family said.
Dr. Neha was admitted in the hospital for treatment of her sinus problem which she was suffering from for years. The doctors at Vivekananda Hospital in Begumpet suggested that she undergo a surgery and it was scheduled for Wednesday. The patient was administered anaesthesia before the surgery and according to Neha's parents, the surgery went on for three hours, though it was supposed to take half an hour.
After the surgery got over, Neha did not regain her consciousness. When she regained consciousness, she started behaving in an unusual way. When a worried Neha's family asked the doctors about her condition, they became evasive, her parents said. They alleged that Neha's brain was damaged due to an overdose of anaesthesia.
