KK wants Cong to resolve Telangana issue by Dec 9
Former Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao on Sunday demanded the Congress High Command to resolve the Telangana issue before December 9.
He said the Congress MPs from the Telangana region will be writting a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on the same issue in two days. In the letter, they are going to mention that the people of region are not ready to accept any alternative except the formation of a separate Telangana state.
He also said the MPs are taking all the steps to mount pressure on the government.
"We are going to mention in the letter if the MPs will quit the party or not and the future course of action," he added.
Supporting TRS Chief K Chadrasekhara Rao, Kesava Rao, said it was a great sacrifice on the part of KCR for the cause of Telangana as he had said he would merge his party in the Congress, if a separate state was formed.
