Khairatabad Ganesh moves towards Husain Sagar
The juggernaut of gargantuan Ganesha of Khairatabad finally moved and is on its way to Hussain Sagar for immersion. The mega 59-feet tall Ganesha, the tallest and the most visited idol in the Twin Cities finally moved at 1.30 PM on Monday.
Earlier, the Ganesha was moved on to the special vehicle and welding work was done. The authorities planned immersion procession for 9 AM, but had to defer as the traffic clearance was not forthcoming.
Quite interestingly, chief minister KCR’s grandson and KTR’s son Himanshu joined the Khairatabad procession. Himanshu, who had offered to the Khairatabad Ganesha several times, now has joined the procession for the first ever time.
In a typically political style, he said he wished that the whole Telangana state, including his grand father and chief minister KCR.
