Kejriwal's Tea 20 with Rajnath over third man
New Delhi: Amidst the AAP government's tussle with the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed with him various issues concerning the national capital.
The 20-minute meeting came a day after LG Najeeb Jung met the Home Minister on issues related to NCR. The ongoing tussle between Jung and the AAP government over issues like granting of parole to former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and allotment of land to BJP for constructing a building were also believed to have figured at the meeting today, sources said.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been alleging that Jung was showing undue interest in parole for Chautala, a charge which the LG dismissed saying that the former Haryana chief minister's parole plea was rejected on October 5.
Also, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has accused Jung of allotting land earmarked for a school to BJP for the purpose of building its party office, wondering what had forced the LG to take such a step.
However, Delhi Development Authority, headed by the LG, claimed that the land usage, from a nursery school to one for a party office, has not been changed but was in due process.
