KCR searches for his Medak successor - Sakshi Post

TRS president and Telangana chief minister designate K.Chandrasekhar Rao has started his search for a party candidate to contest from Medak parliamentary constituency in the by election.

KCR contested from both Gajwel assembly and Medak parliamentary constituencies in the recent elections and won from both constituencies. As he is going to take oath as Telangana chief minister on June 2, he has resigned from his parliamentary seat.

He is discussing with the leaders of TRS and Telangana Employees Union to get a final conclusion on the party candidate here. The employees union leaders are pressurizing KCR to choose Devi Prasad as his successor.

Initially, KCR had asked the former minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy to contest from the constituency. But, he had informed their leader that he is more interested in being an MLC and become a member in the state cabinet than going to Parliament.

KCR has also tried to know the opinion of party leaders on the candidature of retired IAS officer K.V.Ramanachary.

The TRS chief is trying hard to pick up the candidate here before June 2.
