Kadapa cops' plea for narco test to ex-mayor adjourned

The Kadapa First Additional Judge Court on Monday adjourned hearing to March 8 on petition of the police seeking permission to conduct narco-analysis tests on former mayor Ravindranath Reddy, in connection with a forgery case.

The police sought permission for lie-detector tests to Ravindranath Reddy as he was not cooperative.

But Ravindranath Reddy's counsel raised objection for the test stating that forcible use of narco-analysis is illegal and inhuman.

After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the petition for further hearing to March 8.It may be recalled that the Kadapa court on Friday last granted bail to him in the same case.
