Kaala Movie Overseas Rights Sold for Record Price

Rajinikanth - Sakshi Post

Super star Rajinikanth is gearing up to release his upcoming flick Kaala. Actually, Rajini's 2.0 was supposed to release around this time but got postponed due to VFX graphics.

On the same day, Rajini wants to woo the audiences by releasing Kaala as a summer treat to the audiences. He was last seen in Kabali which had created huge hype before it released with promotions being done on flights and mobiles. Finally, the result of the film was unexpected and it tanked at the box office.

Kabali is the highest grossing film in USA where overseas rights were been sold for around 30 Cr. Although Kabali was a flop, it has done little to change Rajini's popularity in the overseas market.

Kaala is directed by PA Ranjith who had earlier directed Kabali and promised the audiences that this film would be a prefect gift to Thalavia fans. This is the second time the duo is working together in a film. The film is produced by Rajinikanth's actor son-in-law Dhanush.

Latest news doing the rounds suggest that Dhanush is demanding a whopping Rs 35 Cr for Kaala for all languages overseas rights. We have to wait and watch who will grab the rights. Except Telugu, all other languages of Kaala might do good business because in the same month Mahesh Babu's Bharath Ane Nenu is slated for release.

A little birdie tells us that Rajini's Kaala teaser will be out on March 10. An official confirmation about the same is yet to made by the filmmakers. Rajinikanth is all set to play a gangster's role in the film and it would be in the backdrop of Mumbai city.

Apart from Rajinikanth, Kaala also features Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. Watch this space for further updates about Kaala.
