Former minister Parthasarthi, Vedavyas join YSRCP
In yet another setback for the already weakened Congress in Seemandhra, former secondary education minster K Parthasarthi and former Deputy Speaker B. Vedavyas, important leaders of Congress in Machilipatnam, deflected to YSR Congress on Saturday.
They joined the party in the presence of party chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Hyderabad.
YS Jagan welcomed them by presenting him with a “kanduva” at the party office.
Speaking to reporters after joining the party, Parthasarthi said "We joined YSRCP to work under the leadership of YS Jagan. Only he can develop and rebuild the state."
He hoped that YSRCP will come to power in both the states.
They also felt that all the welfare schemes of YSR can be re-implemented only if YS Jagan comes to power.
