Ace Badminton Player Jawala Gutta's grandfather and freedom fighter Gutta Subrahmanyam passed away on December 30. He was 102.
His body and eyes were donated on the same day to Shadhan medical college as per his wish. Gutta Subrahmanyam is a Gandhian. He allowed his son to stay in Gandhiji's Wardha ashram, where he met a Chinese girl and married her. He met a Chinese girl at Mahatma Gandhi's ashram and married her. Jwala's mother is Chinese.
There will be a memorial meeting at 11 am on Saturday at the Hydershah Kote in Hyderabad.
