Director Boyapati Srinu's another action entertainer Jaya Janaki Nayaka has received mixed response from the audience. The film stars Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Rakul Preet Singh and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles. Catherine Tresa has also appeared in the movie in a guest role. Yester-year actress Vani Viswanath is seen on the screen after a long time.

Written by Boyapati Srinu, the film shows all the action scenes typical of Boyapati's style. The movie has been produced by M Ravinder Reddy under the banner Dwaraka Creations.

Jaya Janaki Nayaka revolves around the story of a sensible youth, who does not tolerate eve teasing. Rakul Preet falls in love with the hero after learning about him and his family. Then enters the heroine father who opposes their relationship. What happens with the entry of Rakul's father forms the crux of the story.
