Jagan to meet UP CM Akhilesh, seek support for Samaikyandhra
YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy left for Lucknow on Friday, to meet Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Jagan is meeting the two leaders to seek their support against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Getting the support of Akhilesh wouldn't be difficult as the latter has openly opposed Telangana and supported Samaikyandhra.
YSRCP leaders said that Jagan's meeting is required to mobilise the opinion against the 'arbitrary usage of Article 3' of the Constitution that empowers Government of India to create new states.
Hitherto, Jagan has met West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, DMK chief M.Karunanidhi among other leaders.
