Jagan is champion of Samaikyandhra, says Congress MP Anantha

In a big blow to Congress, its senior leader and party MP Anantha Venkatarami Reddy met YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to extend his solidarity over Jagan's fasting.

"Jagan has been steadfast on his stance to keep Andhra Pradesh united. He is alone to carry forward the cause of Samaikyandhra. Taking cue from Jagan, all leaders across party lines should come to one platform to fight against the Centre’s decision to divide the State," MP told the reporters at the fasting venue on Wednesday.

Referring to Chandrababu Naidu’s hunger strike in Delhi, the MP demanded him to clear his standpoint on Telangana issue. Accepting the failure of Seemandhra MPs, he said even the union ministers of the region were confessing that they were betrayed by Congress High Command.

Ever since Jagan began his indefinite fast opposing the division of Andhra Pradesh, exodus continued into the YSRCP.
Earlier in the day, former Congress minister P. Viswaroop, after meeting Jagan, announced that he will join the YSRCP on October 18. Jammalamadugu Congress MLA Adinarayana Reddy joined the YSRCP in the presence of the party chief today evening.
