YS Jagan casts his vote at Assembly
Congress chief and Kadapa MP, Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy casts his vote in the assembly today. He stepped out of jail after a period of 38 days.
He fulfilled his right to vote in the presidential poll as a MP, in the state assembly committee hall. As soon as he was done with his voting, he was taken back to the chanchalguda jail. After the vote at the assembly he was greeted by his party members as well. He was provided with escort and his security was well taken care of. Jagan had earlier filed a petition in the special court of CBI to grant him permission to vote which was agreed by the CBI.
Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar inaugurated by his vote and was later followed by the chief minister. The MPs and MLAs of various parties also made sure to cast their vote at the assembly. Venkataramana, who had also seeked special permission from the election commission to let him vote, was also seen voting at the assembly after being taken there from the jail. He was also taken back to Chanchalguda jail after the casting of his vote.
The polling would take place till 5 pm today.
