Jagan can vote: CBI
Hyderabad: CBI gives a green signal to YSR congress Chief Jagan Reddy to cast his vote in the presidential elections.
Kadapa Mp, Jagan Reddy earlier put his plea to grant him permission to go ahead and cast his vote. Jagan’s lawyer, G.Ashok Reddy has filed a petition to let him go to the state assembly and participate in the voting. Hearing about it was due in court today.
So now Kadapa MP can cast his vote in the upcoming presidential poll to be held on the 19th of July.
Jagan, who is currently in Chanchalguda jail in Hyderabad, was very keen to cast his vote. Hence, he had requested the election commission to allow him to go to state assembly and attend it. To which the CBI have no objection. His vote can be a contribution in deciding either Pranab Mukherjee or PA Sangma’s presidential fate, the two nominees contesting presidential bypoll this year.
If sources are to be believed, Jagan is going to cast his vote for UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee. As he has already stated that he might support either UPA or a third front but will never support BJP led NDA. So the probability of him voting for Pranab seems a bit higher. Probability also says that UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee is going to win with or without Jagan’s party support.
This year besides Jagan, even former Karnataka Tourism Minister and mining baron Janardhan Reddy will join the list in seeking special permission to the election commission to cast their vote.
