It's Official: Sabita, Dharmana submit resignations

Home minister Sabita Reddy and Roads and Buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, on Monday, submitted their resignations to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Sabita and Dharmana met the Chief Minister at his camp office in the afternoon and submitted their resignations.

Speaking to the media, Dharmana said "I resigned on the day my name appeared in the chargesheet. We are just facing allegations, but some newspapers that are not aware are saying we are corrupt ministers. We have not done anything that has troubled the party and the government. I have not taken my own decision in allocating land for Vanpic. It was not a decision even by former chief minister YSR's alone to allot land. It was cabinet's decision and I have signed as per it's decision. We will become tainted ministers only after the court convicted and punished us."
