Inter Student Hangs Herself To Death After Tiff Over Phone With Father

Hyderabad: A second year intermediate student committed suicide after she was being chided by her parents. The incident took place at Jaipuri colony in Nagole on Thursday.

Sai Priya (18), daughter of Bhopal Reddy had recently appeared for her intermediate exams and awaiting results. On Thursday evening, Priya was reprimanded by her father, who found her chatting with her sister on Whatsapp. Reddy also warned her against overuse of cellphone.

Distressed over the issue, Priya went to her bedroom and hanged herself to the ceiling fan. The alert parents broke open the door. and took the girl to Supraja Hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead.

"Sai Priya committed suicide as she had not performed well in the examinations," Priya's father Bhopal Reddy said. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case. They also recovered a suicide note from the girl which stated, "I am making everyone angry and I don't know why I am still alive... Sorry Daddy... I love mommy and Daddy. I I am not committing suicide because of my inter exams, I wrote them well... My father and sister will be so happy with my death."
