Inspector's Daughter Commits Suicide by Jumping from Building

Hyderabad: In yet another incident of corporate college student committing suicide, an intermediate student died after she jumped from the second floor of her house in Kamalanagar of Dilsukhnagar late on Monday night.

The victim has been identified as Chandrika who was studying at Narayana Junior College. She is the daughter of Tukaramgate police station inspector Arjun.

Interestingly, the inspector was at home during the previous night when she is said to have committed suicide. None of the family members or neighbours noticed the death till the housemaid arrived for daily chores in the wee hours of Tuesday. The fall from the second floor caused severe head injuries to Chandrika, police said. The reasons for her taking the extreme step are yet to be ascertained.
