Independent candidate dies in mysterious circumstances

Satyanarayana, an independent candidate from Tanuku Assembly constituency of West Godavari district, Satyanarayana, died under mysterious circumstances on Monday.

The sudden death is raising several questions as it came just 10 days ahead of elections in the constituency. The police suspect that family disputes could be the reason for the death. The family members, however, have refused to respond to the rumours.

The police have registered a case and are investigating whether this was a case of suicide or natural death.
