IJU condemns Chandrababu for anti-Sakshi bias

Indian Journalists Union (IJU) has strongly criticised the Andhra Pradesh Government's vengeful attitude towards a section of media.

The executive committee of the IJU, which met Tirupati on Monday, passed eight resolutions. The IJU condemned the behavior of Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu towards ‘Sakshi’ daily and ‘Sakshi’ TV channel.

“Despite being invited by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the correspondents of the two organisations are being stopped from attending the official press meets of the chief minister. We are taking this as an attack on the media itself,” said IJU President S.S.Sinha and General Secretary D. Amar.

They said they would complain about the discrimination with the Press Council of India soon,” said the leaders of IJU.
