Secunderabad: This Sankranthi, South Central Railway is running special trains as the passenger traffic is high. A total of seven special trains are being run to meet the requirements of passengers.

Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Secunderabad-Vijayawada, Tirupati-kakinada are the routes in which these trains will be running, said South Central Railway CPRO Rakesh. To meet the increasing demand, railways have even added few extra coaches to the trains. As this is a festive season, many people are leaving to their hometown to celebrate Sankranti. All the prominent railway stations across the two Telugu states are jam packed with the festive rush of people.

Central Bus Station and Jubilee Bus Station were also filled with people travelling to other parts of the state and Andhra Pradesh. It was also seen that many passengers traveled all the way to LB Nagar from Miyapur via metro to avoid traffic, and boarded their bus from there.
