Self-styled Outfit Vows to Avenge Nayeem’s Killing
Hyderabad: A self-styled outfit ‘Kranti Sena’ has threatened that it will avenge the killing of gangster Nayeemuddin by targeting Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders.
Nearly 20 days after the gangster was killed in a police shootout, the outfit released a threatening note to the media.
“Nayeem was killed in a fake encounter after he was called by a DSP to discuss about a compromise with some MLAs. After being called, the police killed him,” Kranti Sena said in a release signed by Madhu, Maharashtra State Central Committee member, and Odisha State Central Committee member Jagath Patnaik, posted on some social media sites late on Friday night.
“Police used our network to combat Maoists, but they ended up killing our leader. We helped a TRS leader during the election by funding his poll campaign in Nalgonda. Some months ago, a dispute arose between a few TRS MLAs and Nayeem over a land settlement in which an MP also got involved. It was this issue which led to the encounter of Nayeem,” the note added.
Kranti Sena alleged that P. Shekar Reddy, a TRS MLA, was behind ‘Operation Nayeem’. They also denied Nayeem’s involvement in any sexual crimes as claimed by police. “Recently, we had taken a political line against TRS. If necessary, we are ready to join hands with Naxals, but will not spare TRS MLAs,” the note said.
Meanwhile, police said that a realtor’s Ramanthapur office was ransacked on Friday by the businessman’s victims and not self-proclaimed followers of Nayeem.
Some miscreants, claiming to be followers of Nayeem, barged into the office of realtor KC Reddy and threatened to set ablaze his staff by dousing them with petrol if land documents pertaining to their venture Nandanavam was not given to them. Assistant commissioner of police (Malkajgiri) Sandeep said the persons who created mayhem were not Nayeem’s followers, but people who paid money to Reddy and did not get property registered on their names.
In a related development, Nayeem’s aide Farhana, in her confession, told police that the gangster had killed Nadeem and Nasreen for defying him.
Farhana told police that she was abused by Nayeem. Though she resisted initially, she was forced to surrender to his lust after her children were harassed by the gangster. She first met him at his residence at Hayathnagar and later she was moved to his Alkapuri Colony residence in Narsingi, she said. During this time, he brought three girls, who were trained to be his guards, and he used to abuse them, she confessed to her interrogators.
2 Cops Suspended For Aiding Nayeem
Meanwhile, the SIT investigating Nayeem’s case discovered links between the slain gangster and the Circle Inspector of Chevella, Upendra, and Sub-Inspector of Changomal, Shekar and suspended them on Saturday.
So far, 40 persons have been taken into custody in the case. A call center has been opened to receive complaints against the gangster.
