4 Killed, 15 Injured in Separate Road Mishaps

Hyderabad/Guntur/Vijayawada: Four persons died and 15 were injured in four separate road accidents occurred in both Telugu states on Sunday morning.

According to the police, two died in two different road mishaps in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. Dr. Anil Kumar Reddy, who was riding his two wheeler, was mowed down by a Mercedes Benz car. Dr. Kumar died on the spot while the car driver fled the spot, the police said. In another incident at Miyapur, a lorry driver was crushed to death by a speeding car when the deceased was standing in front of the lorry.

In another gory road mishap in Vijayawada, two youths died on the spot near the office of the District Sub Collector after RTC bus rammed their two wheeler which they were riding. The details of the deceased are not yet known and the bodies were sent to hospital for post mortem, said the police, who took the driver of the bus into their custody.

In Guntur district, a bus with a wedding party on their way to Vinukonda of Guntur district from Prodduturu of Kadapa district, rammed into a tree at Chitakatigalapalem of Vinukonda mandal after the driver lost the control on the vehicle. Though, no casualty was reported but 15 people were injured in the accident. Locals helped the injured in sending them to government hospital in Vinukonda by the 108 ambulance.
