Hyderabad: To help police in controlling crime, 'Hydcop' App has been launched on Monday by DGP Anurag Sharma at Hyderabad police commissionerate in Basheerbagh.

Using Hydcop App, the police officials can access the entire police database sidelined with CCTV camera feed on their smart-phones. With this unique feature the police officials can see the crime date of different locales listing on their smart-phones enabling them to make a tactic move.
"Instead of randomly moving in various localities, police personnel can now plan and move at select places based on the crime data available through their smart phones," the DGP said.
M Mahender Reddy, Hyderabad police commissioner said that the app also acts a tool to monitor the officials' performance.
