Husband Attempts To Beat Wife To Death - Sakshi Post

Kanigiri: Suspecting wife's infidelity, a man attempted to kill his wife in Thummagunta village in Kanigiri mandal on Tuesday night. The couple were identified as Murali Krishna, an veterinary medical representative, and Priyanka, studies in second year of Physiotherapy in Guntur. It is learnt that Murali made Priyanka stop her education mid-way suspecting her to have an affair.

According to the police, Priyanka, daughter of Indla Ramaiah and Murali, son of Ramana, a resident of Bayyannapalli village in Giddaluru mandal are close relatives. The couple had a love-marriage in 2017 against their parents' wishes. Ever since Priyanka stopped her education, the couple often fought over petty issues.

On Tuesday, agitated over Priyanka's behaviour, Murali attacked her head with a rod near Srirangapuram. Murali was supported by eight other persons in the attack. In her complaint ot the police, Priyanka mentioned that Murali and his relatives tried to beat her to death. But she was rescued by the locals in Srirangapuram.

As per Priyanka's complaint, the police have filed cases on Murali and four others. The injured have been shifted to a local government hospital.
