House applications will not be accepted: Collectorate
Hyderabad: 'House applications will not be accepted in the 'Mee kosam' program, state the many wall poster that have been pasted on the premises of the Hyderabad Collectorate. Hundreds of women have been queuing up at the Collectorate, resulting in stampedes and hardships for them, especially mothers with little children.
Officials unable to handle these problems had reportedly called for police bundobast and taken measures to deal with the rush. They promptly pasted wall posters on the Collectorate walls with a notice stating that the Collectorate will no longer accept house applications.
They are also distributing handbills to the women who keep piling up at the Collectorate. The officials are warning them of brokers who are continuing to sell these house applications for Rs. 10 each and have asked them to be wary of those who are promising the applicants help, to secure a house.
400 houses per constituency have been approved and construction sites have been identified, the officials stated and added that the houses are being alloted to the poor.
